Andy Mendelson

Andy is the force that drives OWP/P’s financial performance and risk management. His progressive, intuitive thinking brings clarity and focus to a broad range of practice and project management activities at the firm.

In addition to his role as CFO and Contracting Officer for OWP/P, Andy lends more than 30 years of expertise to school and athletic facility projects. His projects have won awards from numerous educational organizations and the AIA. His contributions to the architectural profession in refinement and improvement of professional service contracts has earned him an AIA Distinguished Service Award.

Andy has worked on some of OWP/P’s largest school and athletics projects, including Stevenson High School where he performed significant design work and was an integral part of the school district’s strategy. Andy nurtured the relationship with this client for nearly 15 years and they remain a legacy client to this day. He also created the program and directed the team for the first new high school in the Chicago Public Schools system in over 20 years. Northside College Prep is a highlight of the long-term relationship we have with CPS on their multi-billion dollar capital improvement program.
