Daniel Fagan

As the leader of OWP/P’s Mechanical Engineering practice in Chicago, Dan strives to build the harmony between engineering and architecture, knowing that as a team the disciplines make each other, and the ultimate product, better.

One of the profession’s most-respected engineers, Dan’s body of work is vast and diverse and includes projects in the corporate/commercial, education, civic, health care and laboratory fields. He has led engineering assignments for The Chicago Mercantile Exchange, OfficeMax, SBC, The University of Chicago, the University of Illinois at Chicago, United Airlines, O’Hare Airport, and as the building engineer at 500 West Madison, 600 West Chicago and 111 West Washington.

A highly active member of the community, Dan belongs to the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers, the American Society of Plumbing Engineers, the National Fire Protection Association, the Society of Fire Protection Engineers, and he is the Chairman of the Plumbing Working Group for the Chicago Building Code Advisory Board.
