Valley West Community Hospital, a critical access hospital affiliated with Kishwaukee Health System, has emergency, urgent care, outpatient and diagnostic components. It required a new medical office building to provide space for support services.
The new office building was attached to the main hospital for patient and staff convenience. A driving design requirement was that the hospital remain fully operational while the 35,000 sf medical office building was constructed. Located immediately adjacent to one of the fastest growing counties in the country, it was important that the siting and design of the medical office building would allow for future hospital expansion and seamlessly integrate new components on the campus.
