Pursuing LEED Gold

As one of the oldest and most significant buildings on the campus and home to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Lincoln Hall has been a classroom setting for thousands of students and faculty. Thanks to a prominent location on the Quad, its role of reinforcing the campus architectural language is immeasurable. The renovation will preserve its legacy and create a modern interior environment that will meet the needs of present and future generations of students and faculty.

A number of key issues will be addressed in the course of the renovation:

- Sustainability and energy efficiency: the building will be seeking LEED Gold Certification
- Restoration and preservation of a prominent campus landmark
- Creating a state-of-the-art learning environment with flexibility between small and large classrooms
- Infusion of technology and informal student interaction spaces
