Richard H. Dewar

With more than two decades of experience as a school architect, Rick has developed a reputation for his ability to lead school districts through complex decision-making, planning/designing and successful referendum processes.

Some of Rick’s significant clients include the Cayman Islands – Ministry of Education, Stevenson High School, Chicago Public Schools and the Cleveland Municipal School District.

Rick was one of three architects appointed by Governor George Ryan to the Health/Life Safety Advisory Committee, part of the AIA Public Education Safety Committee for the Illinois State Board of Education. His passion is centered on educating students and clients alike and has been extensively involved with local and national educational organizations including Illinois Association of School Board Officials, the National School Board Association, Council of Educational Planners International and the Capital Development Board.
