On the heels of its centennial, The University of Chicago Law School began renovating key areas of its landmark, late-1950s campus. The buildings can accommodate the current and anticipated levels of faculty hiring and student enrollment. Many of the buildings needed to be upgraded to support contemporary pedagogical methods, meet current ADA accessibility standards and integrate modern technology.
This first phase of improvements concentrated on the Law School’s Classroom Wing. Projects included reconfiguration of the school’s auditorium; upgrades to classrooms and seminar spaces; reorganization of the main building’s lower level concourse; and modifications to the existing Moot Courtroom.
